So come on and join one of Sheffield's great BBSes now!
                        BBS Number is: 0114 2257296

To log BBS if SysOp out:
Dial for 60 secs, Hang up 60 secs, Dial again.

To log BBS if SysOp in:
Dial attempt on the first go will get you onto the BBS.

NOTICE: If your Terminal times out Dial time on the first ring, simply keep
ringing and ringing and ringing until you are through. The total
Dial time will not last for more than 3 minutes. If you are ringing
for longer than this time with no answer, the system is down
temporarily and is being worked at by the SysOp, call back later.
This will not happen very often.

                           Why the long ringing?
                           ---------------------

The first time you ring, YOU switch on the power supply to my Computer! ;-)
The 60 second hang up, means you are waiting for my Computer to load the
Host Software. The 2nd time you Call, the Host Software will be loaded,
waiting for a Call, and you will get through. Please note that my Computer
is fully disconnected from the mains power supply when you first Call, so no
matter for how long you ring, or how intermittent your ringing is, you will
not get through to this Computer until it has loaded it's operating system,
and then loaded the Host Software ready for a Call.

Naturally, when you log off this system, you switch off the power supply to
my Computer and it waits for another Call. My Computer is controlled by a
Card of my own design and build (see more about it on the BBS). Download
from the Public Download Menu a file called DESCATOC.DOC, there is a full
colour picture of the prototype Card in this file, as well as extensive
info on the Card itself. The Card has many unique features, even holds
info on the Card itself. The Card has many unique features, even holds
power if another Call incoming within 10 minutes of last Call! See it for
yourself.
